Located in the 7th district behind Le Bon Marché, La Grande Epicerie has everything you'd find in a regular French grocery store such as Monoprix, Franprix or G20, plus a whole lot more.
Everything in this store is simply beautiful. There are over 5,000 original products available, ranging from exotic spices to luxury wines and champagnes, to cheddar cheeses, and Sicilian olives. A grocery store, butcher, bakery, and candy store all in one place. One of the great aspects of this store? Their world food section. It's getting bigger and better. Usually I buy my American cravings at the Real McCoy, but yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to find exactly what I needed.
In the American section I got Jollytime buttered popcorn, Arm and Hammer Baking Soda, Dr. Pepper, croutons and marshmallows. In the British section I grabbed some Campbells soup and Heinz baked beans. Each aisle is packed with familiar products and it's hard not to find something you miss from home.
Don't forget to check out the traiteur in the back, it's lovely. The couscous that I bought was a crowd pleaser at home.

The prices: Very costly on the wallet, but you do leave with a pretty good feeling. Besides, it's been ages since I had a Dr. Pepper!
