Hallyday is right now in his second drug-induced coma since entering the hospital Monday December 7. On Thursday December 10 Hallyday had woken for a time, but a spokesman said on Friday that the artificial coma had been re-induced "to prevent suffering and enable him to be treated."
A statement issued by Hallyday’s people said. "Doctors at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles have detected lesions resulting from the operation in Paris that required reparative surgery." Hallyday’s producer also called the operation in Paris a “massacre.” The doctor who performed the surgery, Stephane Delajoux, has already issued a statement of defense through his attorney denying any wrongdoing.
Hallyday's wife, Laeticia, meanwhile revealed that the singer had been "in danger" after being operated on for colon cancer several months ago, in an interview to be published on Friday.
Just a reminder, Hallyday has sold more than 100 million records including a string of hits over more than four decades.

France is on pins and needles because Johnny Hallyday, who is often referred to as the “French Elvis,” is in Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. The 66-year-old was admitted Monday, because of an infection that developed after an operation on a herniated disc in Paris at Clinique Monceau on November 26.
