President Obama never fails to surprise and now he has made history again. Today October 9 he was awarded the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize, beating over 200 other nominees. The announcement came in from Norway this morning. We'll find out later (it's still very early in D.C.) what Obama's reaction is, but critics are already asking if it's too early for him to receive such an award.

Good grief.

Can they not give the man a break and just be happy and proud that the Norweigian commission chose him? This is an award that doesn't frequently go to politicians, much less sitting politicians OR Americans for that matter.Other U.S. presidents who have won this honnor? Wilson, Roosevelt and Carter.
