00001ysl.jpgYves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent (born August 1, 1936 in Oran, Algeria), aka Yves Saint Laurent, the French fashion designer, considered among the greatest of the 20th century, died yesterday June 1 at the age of 71.

 

In case you weren't sure, you owe your beatnik look, safari jackets, tight pants, tall, thigh-high boots, and the classic women's tuxedo suit, to his genius.
