There?s a grave problem within the educational system is Korea, and this past weekend and there were certain militant teachers who came out en masse to demonstrate against inequities and demand change. The fervor with which they protested reminded me of une manifestation a la francaise. On an enormous plaza in the central business district of Seoul, thousands of educators from throughout the country united in dissension against issues ranging from tyrannical school principals to the increasingly high cost of education. It was truly an impressive and dedicated congregation who convened on Saturday as the afternoon sun blazed down and thoroughly baked the concrete surfaces surrounding us.

Jesus Christ is reported to have performed miraculous cures. The afflicted need only reach out to him and touch his garment. The blind were made to see; the deaf could hear, and the leper was cleansed and made whole.They called such healings miracles. In 1940, scientists found a cure for leprosy. Not just one or two amongst the pitiful throng of the faithful, not only a scattered sufferer here and there, but an entire world civilization was relieved of the horror. We call such healing medical science.
Once again, the ignorant among us have declared that it?s okay to question evolution. By their kind of reasoning it?s equally valid to deny gravity and continue to insist that the world is flat and the moon landing was staged by Hollywood. All scientific discoveries since Christ walked the earth are equally invalid.The myths that early man made up to try to explain the origin of life must be worshiped with unquestioning devotion but intelligent investigation is suspect.
