So many times I get comments from other men that Latin women are so beautiful or simply HOT. Every time I go back to Guatemala or anywhere in Latin America my Western friends always ask me if I have female friends they can meet; I had always took it as a big JOKE. Awhile ago as I was in Guatemala I decided to really search for that Latin beauty: could I find her, does she really exist? Well, I did find the Latin Beauty, that woman that stops the traffic, and I was so proud to know that she's from GUATEMALA. Her name is Liliana Garcia, a 24-year-old model, and more than anything else a complete and intelligent woman that is looking to have a better life and to simply conquer all her dreams, hopes and fears.
There I was in a small cafe in Guatemala City, simply waiting. I sat at the very end of the cafe, I guess I like to go undercover when I'm in my native country. Once she got to the entrance I could tell it was her, she was definitely a model: The way she glanced around the entire place, the way she walked made the entire place crumble and all the male waiters failed to pay attention to what they were doing.
If I were to describe the ultimate sexy Latin woman, Liliana is the
quintessential example, between her dark and mysterious eyes. I
mean her eyes can tell you so many things in seconds; the way she
portraits to walk, her hair, simply dancing every time she moves and
her slim and well-built body is simply superb. She doesn't have to say
anything to make you nervous. I have been all over the world and I can
tell you that her beauty can make you feel so thankful to be alive, and
thank God for allowing you to be able to enjoy her beauty.
Liliana
has been modeling since the age of 16. To be a model in Guatemala is
not easy, or I should say is not the best option for a model in the
industry as the Guatemalan modeling market is not well established. As
she was telling me, one day you have a job and maybe the next week you
don't, or sometimes you get a job but they pay you six months after the
event took place. I asked myself, is that a good way to live? Not
really... and I couldn't understand with so many bellas women, with so
much talent and beauty, why are they not treated with more respect and
given the chance to succeed? Liliana is striving to get a better
opportunity in the international market.
Not only is she
beautiful but intelligent, what else can you ask for? In my many
travels I have learned that there are many beautiful women all over the
world, but if they are not intelligent or their personality doesn't
match their looks, I'm sorry chica, but no matter what, I won't like
you at all. That's what I like about Liliana, in a really mysterious
way she's aggressive in matters of her goals and she is determined to
conquer each one of them. I like the fact that she's humble-- she
knows she is attractive and bella, but that doesn't make her a selfish
woman. She has pretty good plans for her career, and knows she has to
be disciplined, all the way to having to follow a specific diet, go to
the gym two hours every day. And at the same time she has to continue to
garner knowledge about her field, and be aware of things that can
hamper her career goals.
She shared something personal with
me, and I could tell she wasn't telling me this just to full fill the
conversation-- she is more concerned that her personality and interior
life is more beautiful than her looks. She said, "Pablo, time goes by
and the beauty goes with it. At the end, my heart will prevail,
nothing else." Wow, I was in shock and wondering, "Where can I find
more women like her?" I guess they are everywhere, and as men we only
need to wait for that beauty. NOTHING ELSE.
Liliana has been
part of several campaigns. Last year she was part of the E!
Entertainment Latin Model contest, and won 2nd place, which not bad
considering there were over 26 other models in the contest. She has
been on several Guatemalan magazine covers. I can tell she has the
charisma, heart and beauty to represent Guatemala and Latin American
women everywhere. But at the end she has the most important thing
every woman needs to have ... simply put, a beautiful heart.
