What's Hot? Nuit Blanche!
Written by Priscilla Lalisse

Nuit Blanche from le mairieIt's that time again, Nuit Blanche , which literally means "White Night" or "All Nighter" in French. This event lasts from sundown until sunrise Saturday October 6 thru Sunday the 7th. There are so many things to see and experience that you need 12 hours to try to get it all in, or at least, as much as you can.

Ingrid Betancourt

This year's festival is dedicated to Ingrid Betancourt who has been held hostage by Columbia rebels for the past five years.

Bertrand Delanoë, the mayor of Paris made the announcement on the Nuit Blanche website, saying "Paris and Rome wanted, this year, to dedicate La Nuit Blanche to Ingrid Bétancourt, a citizen of honor in the city of Paris, and an especially (committed and involved) woman, held in Columbia by the CRAF (FARC) since February 23, 2002, and we fight unceasingly for her release."
