Dear Madame,

I've decided not to move in with my boyfriend after all. I'm American, he's French (origins from Algeria). The reason is because he's slowly but surely starting to dominate me with his culture. In the beginning he wasn't like that. I met him wearing a mini skirt for crying out loud. But now, I see and feel a difference.

Because of him I have already changed the way I dress, stopped wearing makeup and jewelry, and stopped seeing both male and female friends that I had before I knew him.

Should I break up with him point blank? Or will cancelling the move-in be enough to bring him back around? I mean, I've even considered marrying this guy.

I was working at La Defense as an English trainer. Having come from London, it was an easy enough job to get here in Paris.

My boss had always been nice to me and even given in to my pay raise requests when I asked. Once she even gave me time off to go back to London for several weeks to visit my father who was gravely ill, and in the middle of our busiest period. I thought it was because she appreciated my teaching skills. Wow, was I ever wrong.

I’m American and my boyfriend is French. I’m on the pill so he wants to skip the condom. We’re exclusive but it still worries me not to use them. At what point can we throw out the Durex? He thinks I don’t trust him, but it has nothing to do with it.
