I had the pleasure of eating there on a rainy night just recently and it was delicious. “The twins”, Karl and Erik were definitely there--one brother was in the kitchen while the other one took our order...

0001condelezza.jpgIt doesn't seem to have occurred to supporters of George Bush that the 9/11 tragedy happened on his watch and that he wasn't watching. He wasn't listening. He wasn't interested in warnings of the approaching attack. Determined from his first day in the White House to remove Saddam Hussein from dictatorship, the president focused on this Grenada-style, "slam-dunk" invasion "this horse-opera rescue of the beleaguered Iraqi citizens" this "correction" of his father's oversight in not going on to occupy Baghdad during Desert Storm.

Ever since then, the American people have been picking up the tab while the Iraqi citizens gather up body parts.

Free Tibet

0009free_tibet.jpgPerhaps old conflicts, long time injustices, the anguishes of oppressed nations, get buried under the new conflicts. Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine among others have dominated the headlines and occupied peoples minds.

 

There is a country that has been shunted, forced into the shadows, but its need for our attention and support is just as paramount.
