Iron Man isn’t your typical shoot ‘em up, die hard, everyone wins and the hero gets the girl movie. Mind you, I like those too, but this action hero was different. He was real if we can apply that word. Human. And the story line was human too. We’re taken inside the Afghanistan war. Weapons dilemna. Terroism. Multinationals. Government secrets. People losing their families. We’re shown a look at what could be, and let’s face it, what is going on behind the scenes today, and it’s ugly. It’s ugly and again, it’s real. It’s not far fetched. The story is told through human eyes. I know I keep throwing that word around, but it’s the one word which resonated throughout this movie.
Beside’s Downey’s remarkable performance, Jeff Bridges (who has a really cute site) gave one and he is unrecognizable. He is indeed an aged beauty, this man! Wow! I’ve seen far too less of him onscreen these days and it was a complete joy to find him in the movie, and as a villain no less. And not difficult to watch was Gwyneth Palthrow (nice wardrobe!).
So that’s it folks. I wouldn’t dare give away the entire plot, but I will give you a bottom line on Iron Man: Good movie. Human. Real. Great cast.
P.S. I can't wait to see how the new HULK stacks up!

Although I find Robert Downey Jr. to be quite a fine actor, I never wanted to see Jon Favreau's movie Iron Man…until my friends told me I absolutely had to. Now I understand why.
