Expat Examined: Marvin Brooks
Written by Priscilla Lalisse

marvinMarvin Brooks is my cousin, but I didn't know him or that he was my cousin before he called me this week to tell me. It's not often that one gets a call from a family member to say, "Yeah, I'm here in Paris, living and working." Sure, you get calls all the time saying that family members are coming to visit, but actually having someone from your family living here, well, that's quite freaky, especially if you've never ever met them.

After getting past that initial surprise and then tracing our family ancestors, I found out that Marvin, cousin or not, needed to be in Prissy Mag! He's an amazing person who has just landed in Paris and already gone to some of the city's hottest fashion shows. Besides that, he used to work at Prada. How could we not talk to him? Shoot! I'm not afraid of a little nepotism.

Expat Examined: Susie Hollands
Written by Priscilla Lalisse

Susie I first met Susie Hollands about two years ago. We’d been working with someone in common, and that person was sure we needed to meet, and she was right.

Susie is as unique as it gets. Through getting to know her, I found out that we actually have many things in common, which is a bit odd considering that I’m an American from the Deep South, and she was born and raised in Galashiels, Scotland. Not that I’ve ever been there, but I get a funny feeling it probably isn't quite like Alabama.
