What do you do after you've hiked in the beautiful mountains of Mont Blanc all day? Well, you'll probably want to go out...kick back...and relax, that's what. Prissy Mag is here to tell you where the locals go.
Hot Addresses to Kick Back in Chamonix Mont Blanc
Le Privilege
rue du Moulins
Chamonix
Tel. 04 50 53 29 10
Le Privilege is one of the first bars you find when you are walking downRue des Moulins. It's French-run and said to be "one of Chamonix's chic-est bars." I didn't find it to be so chic, but I did find it to be way cool. It has a nice interior which is a mixture of local wood and African furnishings with an ulta-modern looking glass bar and brightly lit drinks shelves. It's a comfortable place, often with live sets.
ChaChaCha
Located at end of rue Docteur Paccard
Tel. 04 50 93 47 74
ChaChaCha is arguably the best place in town to buy wine and taste it because they have wine tastings almost every night of the week. ChaChaCha has a friendly staff who are ready to give you advice on what to buy, which is always nice. The store itself has a cool design and is overall, quite impressive.
No Escape
27 Rue de la Tour
Tel: 04 50 93 80 65
No Escape represents the trendy aspect of Chamonix. This club even has the red rope and the security which comes with it. Don't try to get in if you are wearing inappropiate gear. The inside is cooly lit and features modern style with a lot of attention to detail. Everything is off the chain, as my young cousin from 'Bama would say. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side, but still, No Escape is a good place to dance the night away...in style.
La Cantina
37, impasse des Rhododendrons
Tel. 04 50 53 83 80
This little underground club (literally) is one of my personal favorites. The bar staff make this place. The music rocks too. You get a nice vibe here and La Cantina brings in DJs from all over the world. You can also chow down on some Mexican food in the upstairs restaurant, and sleep in the many nearby hotels.
Le Garage
200 ave de l'Aiguille du Midi
Tel: 04 50 53 64 49
This club is the largest in Chamonix and probably the most well-known by die-hard party goers. Le Garage brings in DJs from all over the world too, and also boasts dancers on certain nights. If you are looking to party all night long, Garage is your place. If you want a more relaxing place, head to Le Privilege instead.
